Shower water systems

between 0.8 to 1.5 bar. Minimum and maximum pressure can
be checked with the manufacturer however most boilers have

basic guide to establish how much pressure it will deliver is how high
the tank is above the tap or shower. If the tank is 2 metres above
the level of the tap or shower, the water pressure will be 0.2 bar. If
it is 5 metres, the water pressure will be 0.5 bar. Generally this type
of system is low pressure however you can increase the pressure by
installing a pump. It is recommended to seek advice from a quali昀椀ed
engineer or manufacturer before choosing your pump as these vary
in performance.
Sealed/Unvented Systems
These are modern systems. If you have a hot water tank, but
you don’t have a cold water tank (cistern) in your lo昀琀 or garage,
this is an unvented high pressure system. They are quite
uncommon as they are more expensive however they can
usually deliver around 3.0 bar of water pressure.
